The Award
The Super User Award is given to a team or individual that has shown tremendous understanding and application of SlotTrak within their operations. Volante Software is proud to announce that the Super User award winner for 2021 is Zena Nguyen, Slot Shift Manager at Yaamava’ Resort and Casino at San Manuel.
Zena was an integral part of the team that launched SlotTrak’s Progressive module at Yaamava’ Resort and Casino at San Manuel. In the first 6 months of production, the module has reached a milestone of 1 million meter readings taken.
Zena displayed a tremendous grasp of SlotTrak’s progressive function. She worked tirelessly with her team to ensure that the entire shift was trained and operating efficiently. Her suggestions and insights lead to a series of enhancements that were incorporated into the product as base functionality. The system is now in use at properties all over the United States. Zena’s tenacity and talent have provided a solid base for one of the largest slot floors in the world to take meter readings as efficiently as possible.
Zena Nguyen
Zena began her career in the gaming industry by joining San Manuel Casino in 2009 as a Guest Services Representative. Later that year, she transitioned into a new role as a Slot Technician with the Slot Operations team. Zena worked as a Slot Technician for 7 years. During that time period, she enhanced her technical knowledge of slot machines and developed her troubleshooting skills.
In 2016, Zena was promoted to Slot Supervisor where she began her journey in management. She took the reins as a Slot Relief Manager in 2018 and is currently a Slot Shift Manager at Yaamava’ Resort and Casino at San Manuel.
Throughout her career, Zena has expanded her industry knowledge and is most proud of her tremendous work ethic, energy, and organizational skills. Zena continually strives to improve processes and streamline workflows that allow her team to ensure a positive guest experience.
